Presenting our New Rosé for Summer 2024: Gemina

Dear Friends,

We are delighted to announce the birth of a new wine, Gemina Rosé. This exquisite wine holds special meaning for our family, celebrating the joyous arrival of our identical twin granddaughters, born June 1st 2023. The twins are represented by the two petit rose-gold cypresses on the label.

The name of this wine is Gemina, from the Latin for twins, modified to finish with the feminine a. The word gemma in Italian means gem, and this is the word used to describe the precious new buds on the vines, the harbinger of spring and first signs of the new vintage.

Crafted with meticulous care, this tiny production of Rosé is a blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The wine was naturally fermented, aged in steel to preserve its crisp, refreshing character and bottled in lightweight bottles, consistent with our commitment to sustainability.

Our total production of Gemina is just one small barrel, only 24 cases. Each of the 288 bottles is numbered by hand.

We have decided to sell eighteen cases on a first come, first served basis.

Here we say “nella botte piccola c'é il vino buono” - literally that good wine is be found in small barrels, the wonderfully Italian version of the anodyne “good things come in small packages.”
