Dear Friends,
There is a local saying, “Forza e coraggio, dopo aprile viene maggio,” translated as “Be strong; after April, May will come along.” After the hottest April on record, our May weather is behaving as if each day is a surprise; it may rain, temperatures may be in the forties or they may be in the seventies.
Thankfully April showers tempered the unexpected heat and worked their magic. Tuscany is now emerald green, with riotous splashes of red poppies and yellow ginestra dotting the fields. It is the time of purples: irises, wisteria and fragrant lilac. Our vineyards are wild gardens, full of flowering peas, fava beans and mustard, planted to nurture the vines and provide biodiversity.

We would love to walk the vineyard with you and share the care and passion that goes into each bottle of Ultima Pietra. Our visits are exclusively private, never grouped, as we wish to offer an intimate and unforgettable introduction to the estate.
Coming June 3rd: for Cabernet Francophiles
The newest addition to our “family” of wines, Gemina Rosé is already en route to cellars across the world. Before settling down to the unceasing work of accompanying vintage 2024 to harvest, we have one more surprise.
We have been treasuring a single barrique of Cabernet Franc 2020, aged for an extra year. A gift for afficionados who enjoy this monovarietal in purezza, “in purity” as the Italians say, availability is just 216 bottles.
This wine is the remarkable offspring of the beautiful 2019 Cabernet Franc Merito and specially reserved for all of you on “The List.”
We will open the 2020 Cabernet Franc offer next Monday morning, the 3rd of June.
